Tosha - Wonderful Life

We were invited to the Tosha salon show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout and somehow ended up early. When this happens we always go for coffee while we wait and get ranting about fashion, art, design, life, nothing and then end up being late. Sometimes this can work out well and we end up diving in at the foot of some unsuspecting show attendee, whip out our cameras and notebooks and settle in at the front - just as we did at Tosha. Our apologies to whoever's toes we were sitting on...

Mel managed to capture the corner of a heel with the bottom of a dress and I had to include it because it looks awesome...

TOSHA is a luxury London based woman’s wear label headed by the young designer Tamara Sariachvili who sold her debut collection at Wolf and Badger and hand makes every piece she creates making them hella unique and one of a kind.

Ms Sariachvili's A/W 2012 collection was a showing of glam, sexy and timeless LBD's with exposed zips, ruffle features to alter the silhouette and ridiculously high patent leather heels. The show had a slightly 80's feel owing to red glossed lips that looked like glass and slicked back hair (More the Addicted to Love 80's than the 80's of the Wedding Singer) and was ridiculously sleek.

Our favourite piece was a body hugging number, extended to the foot at the back which really pushed the sensual curve to the floor, and around the room, and out the door, and into the street... Mel and I both noted that if we ever need a knock 'em dead power "I will rule the world while looking like a Goddess" dress this would definitely be it.

One thing I have to ask is do you ever attend a show and wish you could have chosen the music? (I know my writing is stupidly conversational for this medium so I will just picture you smiling and nodding - or even better - why don't you leave a comment as to what songs you would have chosen and for what shows?!) The music was totally suitable at the Tosha show but as soon as soon I saw the first model I wanted to hear Wonderful Life by Hurts. And then I wanted all of the models to line up and do the dance they do at the side of the pool in the video.

Oh to be a show producer...
